Easter Card for Elder Pizzey

It has been so fun to have my baby brother on his missions. I love reading his emails and letters and reading how already he has grown so much! He is serving in Salt Lake City South mission. He got out of the MTC last week so hes in his first area. He covers 2 stakes! And the 2 stakes are within blocks of each other!!! That just blows my mind! He says it needs some cleaning up, so him and his companion are working hard to do that! He's very pumped to work hard and has a excellent trainer and they just click! I just love it!

I also love writing letters (aren't letters so much funner than emails) and sending cute things. Blake always loved my cards and would tell me at birthdays / Christmas he would get excited for them. So while he's on his mission I've decided every little holiday deserves a card! So here is our Easter card, with a photo picture instead. Its in girl colors... but it is Easter... what can you do!

Creativity is lacking...

I haven't scrapbooked in too long! With summer vacations and enjoying the sun and moving, there hasn't been much time! I did a shower invite this morning for my Mom (for my aunt's shower for her little girl) which got me missing it so much!

So once we are moved in I'll have to get caught up again, I was doing so well as staying on top of everything and being caught up. But I did realize I haven't posted pages for a while and thought I'd post some I did a little while ago. So from our trip to the zoo and some with the great pics Leah took at Millcreek pool.

You Sweeten Up my Life

Here is a new page I did on one of our Mommy / Daughter / dog picnics! haha. I was just in love with this set when I found it on Sugar Plum and had to get it! I remembered Avery had a red shirt in these pictures and thought "Perfect!" Fun fun!

John & Kate's big announcement tonight.... who's betting its a divorce?!?! I still love the show, but oh my goodness its sad now! Almost depressing! Once again like I've said before, it sure makes me happy for my simple life. This is just my opinion, but I think Kate has changed so much... for the worse. Jordan watched it with my last week and he even said how Kate makes him sick how into herself and flashy she is now! I swear every time she laughs its such a phony laugh, and it seems like her marriage and John is soooo low on the list! Whatever, just my opinion, I'm interested to see tonight!

Keep it simple... this is often the best way :)

I just finished this page and wanted to post it before I hit the hay. I like that its clean, fresh and simple! Often I have a hard time creating pages like these (even though I like them) because I feel I need to embellish and make it all fancy. But sometimes that just ruins a page.

This page has no embellishments or accessories, even the flowers at the bottom are a font!

Keeping it simple has been on my mind lately. Reason being, I'm a huge fan of John & Kate. I have watched there show since the very beginning. Well as any of you know (even if you don't watch there show) there is trouble brewing in there marriage. I'm sure there are many reason, but here is my thoughts (I usually don't do this - write my thoughts on TV shows etc. and be all deep - but its really been on my mind!):

- My Nana gave me the best advice before Jordan and I got married "Your spouse if number 1 in life!" No one comes before your spouse, and if this had been happening with these 2, I don't believe there would be problems. Last night they kept talking about how they are in it for the kids - yes, very important. But how about being in it for each other and then taking care of the kids will fall into place.

- Men need an outlet or escape. This is my opinion, which is why they have work! Obviously they are still working hard there, but I just don't think they are made to be at home all day with crazy children. Obviously it works for some, I have a friend in my ward that works and her husband is at home. But I think the average man needs some time away in the day, and then hes refreshed and happy and excited to be home and see his wife and kids. Even if they don't need the money, John probably needs a little break in the day. Obviously women need this too, that's what girls night at the movies or things like that are for!

- There show has gotten so extravagant. Haven't you noticed the more current episodes they are always going to big exciting places. There show in the early seasons used to be a family of 8 living, doing the everyday things such as laundry, or groceries, or buying Christmas presents for each other etc. Obviously they have great sponsors and places inviting them to come enjoy there attractions, but I feel it has been so caught up in the big glamour of the world and taken away from the simplicity of family and home.

- KATE! Am I the only one who feels she has changed so much cause of the show! She kept saying last night how everything she does (the show, books, touring, speaking engagements) is 100% for the kids. So Kate... you are saying you don't enjoy the spotlight and getting your hair and make up done, and dressing nice (she wear heels to get there dogs from the farm for goodness sakes) and the glitz and glam?!?! I don't know if I believe that. Of course the show provides a very nice comfortable living for the family. Her attitude and everything seems to have really changed over the seasons, don't get me wrong, shes a great Mom, but I really feel shes gotten quite wrapped up in this all! (Do you notice how tanned she is?!?! She looks hot, but come on!)

- And most important, they never addressed that maybe... just maybe the show has done this too there marriage. I love there show and watching there family so much! BUT if my husband was not enjoying the spotlight and media I would sell my big fat house and get a nice modest house, and ditch the show. It sounds like John would enjoy getting back to work, and the kids will almost be in school all day, so go back to nursing during the day if need be. I really believe that would make things easier. Keep it simple!!! I did hear that they possible were already under contract for this season and couldn't back out, but even so I don't think Kate would have pulled out anyways.

ALRIGHT! I'm done, I usually don't discuss things other than my family, but its quite sad to see such a sweet family fallen apart cause of this world and publicity. And this is all my opinion, obviously! So don't hate me if I oppose your thoughts. Lets hope it all works out for them!

Overall it made me grateful for my simple, quite, non public life!

Back to Normal - for NOW!

My visiting teachers came this week, and Cyndi said something that I loved! "Nothing is constant in this life except change." So true! haha. Especially when the little kidlits come along, things change so fast!

As I mentioned in a previous post, Avery has been going through this weird funky schedule change that wasn't too pleasant. I then realized she was getting her first tooth which could have been part of the reason. Well for now, her schedule is back to normal and more predictable. I haven't wanted to say anything about it for a bit in chance of jinxing it (lol, little superstitious) but its been 4 weeks now, so maybe I'm safe. Again, I think back to what Cyndi said though... you never know!

So its great knowing she takes a 9-11 nap in the morning and 2:30 - 4:15ish nap in the afternoon. I enjoy knowing because now I plan to do Eran's and things like that in that gap after lunch, and everyone is happier! And her nights are way better, goes from 7-7 and gets up once for about 10 minutes for a quick bottle and back down. PHEW! I remeber when she started this new schedule I didn't know what to do with myself with all this nap time!

And isn't it funny how when the naps are good, the nights are waaay better! So I've got myself a happy little Avery lately!

Here are some new pages. The last 3 are from Avery's album, and the top 2 from Easter. I downloaded some Elsie fonts from scrapnfonts.com. They are clearing out a bunch of there CK fonts and they are on sale until May. 5. Great prices and adorable fonts! So get them while there still there! My Easter pages in include some of the Elsie fonts.

Avery's pages

Well now that I'm caught up on our family album, I've been working at Avery's baby book. I must say, it sure is fun scrap booking for a little girl. There are so many fun girly things to do!

Here are a few of my favourite pages I've done so far. I was inspired for some pages by other peoples pages on http://www.oscrape.com/. It is a great place for ideas. It's also fun to look back at Avery's baby pic's... I know she is still a baby. But over the course of 7 months she has changed and grown up so much!

Avery is rolling and moving lots, not crawling yet but she wants to so bad! I find it quite funny (I use the word "funny" loosely, because sometimes it's a bit annoying) how her favourite toys seem to be our dogs toys and garbage cans and chairs, everything but her own baby toys. Well she likes those too, but seems to love putting Kona's ball and bone in her mouth (I know... gross) and rolling to garbage cans and things like that and pulling them down and putting them in her mouth. I know all you Mom's are saying "it's only just begun."

I really need to baby proof my house soon since shes on the go now, but I keep putting it off. Its the decorator in me... I like my nice accessories and things like that! haha! My friend Stefanie was over last week and I was just telling her how Avery really hasn't gotten into any of the house stuff yet... and she made her way to the coffee table and grabbed a plate with candles and rocks in it! We had a good laugh, and that has now been raised to the upper shelf of the coffee table. I keep telling myself Avery will just be perfect and not touch Mommy's nice stuff... ya right! But I'm loving watching her grow and learn every day.

xoxo, Breanne

March update & new pages

Well March is here, if you live in Edmonton it sure doesn't feel that way! It supposed to get better, but yesterday got to -40! I'm sorry, that is just wrong! I didn't leave my house except to take Kona out.

And tomorrow is my birthday! I'm 24, next year I'll be a 1/4 of a century! It sounds old, but I don't feel old! I don't know why 24 sounds so old, I honestly feel like I'm 20 and newly wed, that's how fast time flies!

Well I've been busy scrapbooking, I'm really loving digital scrapbooking. I've included some new pages below. I'm officially caught up! I don't think I've said that... ever! Its a nice feeling, I'm sure it won't last. Now I'm going to get on Avery's baby book and try and keep up with that.

Question: What have you other mom's done for you kids baby books, like how long do you do it for? I was thinking until they are 2, and then past that goes into the family scrapbook. Any feed back?

I'm so happy that I've realized digital scrapbooking still lets me express my creative side! Its fun building up my pages, and the best part is I can leave it mid project and there's no mess! And that's important when you have a 7 month old!

Oh and Avery and Jordan are wonderful. Jordan is busy as usual with work and church calling and just life! He thankfully is great at always finding time for Avery and I. Avery gets so excited when he comes home, its very sweet! And Avery... I just fall more and more in love with that girl every day! I swear I kissed her chubby cheeks like 50 times today! She's sitting on her own now, which is so cute! The other day I had a baby Einstein on and she was sitting in the living room watching it, just sitting on the floor on her own. I swear I almost teared up because she looked so old, I know pathetic hey!

And this picture below is of my family taken at Tanner's wedding. Avery is missing because she was at home with my Grandma. But I just love it, it turned out so nice! I love my family, it's fun seeing us all grow up!

Speaking of my family, Kamry is pregnant! She is due October. 2! Its fun Avery will have a cousin about 14 months apart! Well that's all for now. Enjoy the pages. I have some recent pictures of Avery on my camera, so once I get those off I'll put them up.

Some stuff...

So as I've mentioned before I have just started digital scrapbooking over the last couple months. I'm really liking it and have found some great sites with great paper. Some I get for free, and some I pay for, but its worth it because you can use it again and again.
So I thought I would share some of my pages, I'm now only 4 months behind! I don't think I've been this caught up in years! I use Avery's nap times very productively!
I haven't got any pages printed yet, I've heard of a couple places to go. So if any of you digital scrapbookers have some suggestions of where you go, let me know.
So here is a sample of some of the pages I've been doing lately. I've been working on Avery's baby book at the same time, but once I'm caught up with our family album I'm going to concentrate more on her baby book and try and keep up to date. Enjoy!
